Kedai Kopi 1921
A busy and happening breakfast spot.
This junction just before the Kuantan Road Market is so "lau juak" (buzzing with activities) early in the morning, with people doing their marketing and getting their breakfast fix. There're many stalls here. I was immediately attracted to the mee rebus (noodle with tomato-based gravy), operated by a friendly Hokkien-speaking Indian family. It was yummy - flavourful, not too sweet and plenty of toppings for RM5.50. The Hokkien Mee is a milder version but not as oily, suitable for breakfast. Lastly, when there’s still a bit of space left in the tummy, got to fill it up with chee cheong fun (flat rice noodle) 😄.
Next time will try the opposite kopitiam - Timesway.
Mee Rebus RM5.50
Hokkien Mee RM7
Chee Cheong Fun RM3.40
