Putian noodle 莆田面 - not your usual Melaka hunt. Unlike the commonly available Hokkien mee, Hai Lam mee and Hakka mee, Putian noodle remains widely unknown. Thanks to my cousin, I've the opportunity to discover this very rare cuisine. Other than the Michelin Star Putien, this is the only place that I've come across serving Putian noodle. Their signature are Putian noodle soup and Heng Hua fried bihun 兴化炒米粉. Besides seafood, both noodles are topped with seaweed and fried peanuts, which is pretty interesting. I really enjoyed both noodles - not overly strong tasting but very comforting. Besides noodles, they also have many side dishes. We tried the crispy fried fish roe, braised chicken feet and fish cake which is my favourite - bouncy and fishy in a very good way. Putian noodle soup - RM12 Heng Hua fried bihun - RM15
