Never eaten 西刀鱼 fish balls and fish cakes this good! 🤤😋 Even though this local kopitiam has been around forever, it’s actually my first time here 🤫—never too late, right? 😅 Came by for dinner when only a few stalls were open. As a yee kiow mee fan (only Malaccans will understand 🤪), I had to order the 西刀鱼 (ikan parang / wolf-herring) fish ball noodles (RM9). It was SO GOOD 💥. The fish balls and fish cakes have actual real fish flavor with that perfect bouncy texture—totally unlike mass-produced ones. The soup is pure fishy goodness 🍲. Don’t let the plain-looking noodles fool you... drizzle that iconic Melaka-only chili sauce on top for instant addiction! 🌶️✨ We also tried the Melaka-style white wan tan mee (RM7 char siew / RM8 siew bak), which has a unique chewy bite. Who can resist satay? Order some pork and chicken. Surprisingly, the chicken stole the show—slightly crispy outside, juicy tender inside! 🔥🍢 Their morning yong tau foo is very famous too... I’ll be back!
