Teochew moi with retro vibe 🏮

The Teochew Club (潮粥俱乐部) does things differently. The name gives instant The Joy Luck Club vibes, while the low-key storefront skips loud signage for a tiny sign on the glass door. Very "if you know, you know"!

Inside, dimmed lights, stained mosaic floors, vintage biscuit jars and retro furnishing give major In the Mood for Love energy. 🎬✨

We had :

Stew Duck & Taro (RM22): Fork-tender duck in a savory, creamy taro gravy. Definitely a must-have! ❤️

Preserved Radish Egg (RM12): Crispy, golden perfection. Slaps even harder with house chilli.

Salted Taugeh (RM6): Not the regular beansprout, these are short, thick and crunchy, not overly salty, very addictive.

Moi or rice porridge (RM3): Simple comforting

All three dishes nailed it—very tasty without being overwhelming. Plus, I can officially say I’ve tried the Michelin-starred Au Jardin chef’s dishes (the man behind this ‘club’), and my wallet is still intact! 😄
