I'm quite particular when it comes to wan tan mee 😬. For me, this version hits all the right notes. The noodle has a nice texture and most importantly no alkaline taste. The sauce is powered with pork lard and not sweet and sticky. The wantan is substantial.
Another thing that sets it apart from most stalls in Penang - the wantan is served separately in a bowl of umami soup and the green chilli is in a small dish with some soy sauce 😄
