The Hakka Mee + CKT right below Kek Lok Si 🍜 Hakka Mee is a rare find in Penang, and I'd heard so much about this spot. Finally, here I am! Having arrived a little too early 😅, I took a seat right in front of the stall and patiently watched aunty fry up fresh yong tau fu (tofu and vege stuffed with fish paste) and get everything ready to serve 😄. Got my order at last! The texture of the homemade noodles (RM6) is enjoyable. But the yong tau fu was the absolute star 🌟. At RM3.10 a piece, it’s a bit steep, but totally worth it—you can actually taste real fish in the bouncy homemade paste, unlike those artificial mass-produced ones. We also couldn't resist the Char Koay Teow (RM10), which bagged 2nd runner-up in the Penang CKT Competition 2025. Packed with wok-hei with fresh succulent prawns—exactly what you want in a good Penang CKT 😋. There are so many other stalls here... next time I definitely need to bring a bigger stomach! 🤣
